Welcome to the Molecular Psychiatry Lab
at the University of Fribourg!
Our lab is an interdisciplinary team of psychologists, neuroscientists, and physicians led by psychiatrist Prof. Gregor Hasler, M.D. We investigate the development and treatment of psychiatric disorders, as well as the effects of psychedelic substances, including LSD, psilocybin, and MDMA.

- June 6-8, 2024 – Come say hello at the 2024 Interdisciplinary Conference on Psychedelic Research (ICPR) in Haarlem! Lab members Abigail, Vincent, and Morten will present scientific talks and posters on psychedelic side effects, trauma processing with psychedelics, and combining microdosing with neurofeedback.
- June 2, 2024 – We finished developing the Swiss Psychedelic Side Effects Inventory, a standardized questionnaire for assessing side effects from psychedelics and MDMA. Find it here.
- Feb 16, 2024 – We are currently looking for research interns for 2024 and 2025. Apply here!
- Feb 9, 2024 – Participants needed! If you have had a psychedelic experience in the past 1-12 months, consider participating in a new survey study on the influence of personal and environmental characteristics on the effects of psychedelic drugs.
